Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
A tremendous opportunity here with this first year 1967-68 St. Louis Blues game-worn jersey. Forwards Wayne Rivers and Gary Sabourin each wore #11 at some point during St. Louis' inaugural season and the square shoulders here were only worn by the Blues in 1967-68. This gamer's right sleeve was customized to make it tighter. Rawlings size-44 and laundry instructions tags are sewn inside the left rear hem. Game wear includes big black marks on the left breast and a 2-inch team repair on the right rear tail. To note is some white paint on the right sleeve. A formidable durene beauty from the Blues' historic first NHL season. More game wear shows in board burns on both sleeves, marks through the numbers on the right sleeve, small marks on gold, blue and white triple-twill numbers on the back and a bigger black mark to the left of the numbers, and light board burns on the right front tail.
