The heart and soul of the Buffalo Sabres, gritty forward Danny Gare proudly wore the captain's C on his 1979-80 game-worn jersey. Danny led the NHL with 56 goals, his second 50-goal season, and his willingness to battle hard despite his smaller stature is written all over his captain's gamer, which is covered with extensive team repairs. We count over 40 sewing fixes on the front, the tails, and both sleeves, which display repairs over repairs! Maska Superfil tagging in the neck has let go its stitching on the left side. The laundry instruction flag tag has "52" written on it in ballpoint. Fight strap features a leather loop. Small white Maska logos are embroidered onto the left front and rear tails. Fantastic Sabres crest sewn on the front features cable-knit sabres in white and gold thread, and buffalo with embroidered red thread eye in white-on-blue-and-gold triple twill. Surname lettering and nameplate are consistent with 1979-80 Sabres gamers. There are three vertical marks to the right of the captain's C and more game wear shows in black marks on the crest and sleeves, which have unrepaired burn holes, and good pilling inside the sleeves. Great Sabres captain's gamer comes with an LOA.
