Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
One of the most popular rookie cards of the modern era and the key to Parkhurst’s popular 1955-56 hockey card effort is that of the sensational Jacques Plante, with this example of card #50 displaying better than its technical grade. Card is free of any creases but has a significant stain on the back, where a rather small area of paper loss can be spotted. Subtle staining in the middle of the lower section on front is also to mention, along with the bottom edge which does not feel even to us, suggesting trimming at some point, possibly in an effort to correct the original diamond cut. Still-acceptable card will look fine amongst your other ’55-56 Parkies or rookie cards.
