Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Known as Canadian Goudeys are the cards issued in Canada by World Wide Gum of Montreal, a subsidiary of Goudey. The first 48 cards in the 1934 set feature the same format as the 1933 American Goudey cards, with this example of Babe Ruth having text in both English and French on the back, as opposed to the more common English-only version. Card #28 describes the Babe's home run hitting prowess and also mentions "was great left-hand pitcher before he started hitting homers." A horizontal side-to-side crease through the middle, staining/soiling and edge/corner wear are to consider here, but oh, just to own a card of the great Ruth would be...great!
