This classic Parkhurst set exhibits moderate handling, with approximately half without any unsightly creases, rather corner/edge wear and at times a small light crease rendering them still appealing at VG, VG+ and VG-EX. We see Bower RC, Howe, Horton and Harvey at VG-EX, wax stains sending a similar Sawchuk to VG and multiple light creases dropping Beliveau to G. An otherwise G-VG Richard is lowered by a tiny "9" penned to the back. The #1 McNeil card is P and joins 17 others with names penned to their "Lucky Premium Card" backs. The list is on our website, along with condition details about two Parkie albums. Among the aforementioned Lucky Premium cards with the players’ names penned to the back, and at times their team’s name, are #2-Moore, 34-Pronovost, 59-Schmidt and 70-Howell, as well as 15, 22, 23, 34, 45, 48, 50, 52, 55, 56, 62, 66, 68 and 79. There are three other similar “Premium” cards without writing including 82-Saskamoose RC at VG+. A 1952-53 Parkies “Photo Folio” album is G-VG with creases and without any sheets inside, along with evidence of a card once being pasted in the appropriate spot above “My Favorite Hockey Star.” The ‘53-54 album also features multiple creases and significant handling but has a dozen cardboard sheets to hold cards, with the 100 cards comprising the set listed on the back cover.
