Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Loads of fun here with 50-year old York "yellow back" octagonal cards leading the way with 22 different, mostly in appealing EX-or-better shape, 11 similar duplicates, (Beliveau, Keon, 3 Geoffrion), and a VG-EX empty album. Twenty intact 1970-71 Esso stamp panels include one with Orr, another with Beliveau and five with Keon/Unger. A complete set of Eddie Sargent stamps is neatly pasted into the '72-73 G-VG album picturing Bobby Orr, while '74-75 Loblaw's stamps, both in the album and loose strips, present an interesting story, detailed below. The “NHL action players” album is close to completion, with scattered “update” stamps loose between the pages. The update stamps name the (traded) player they were to replace, for instance, Denis Herron’s Kansas City Scouts stamp reads “Replaces Michel Plasse” on the back. These rather scarce stamps total 40, with some (20) 8-stamp intact panels, (of the “regular stamps), also present, along with a few more that have become partially separated. Like we alluded to at the top, the winning bidder will have some fun with this nifty collection.
