The one and only and thus number 1 All-Time Finest set on the PSA Set Registry is this intriguing encapsulated ensemble of little cards similar to the cards long-referred to as "Laval Dairy" cards (starring Quebec Senior Hockey League players) but with these much more scarcer examples featuring members of the Lac St. Jean senior league. Teams which competed in the league and represented here include the Jonquire Aces (As de Jonquiere), Dolbeau, the Alma "St-Joseph" and Port-Alfred. With a weighted GPA of 5.25, the set is led condition-wise by three cards which earned NM-MT 8 recognition; #13-Real Marcotte, 37-Tiny Tamminen (of Cobalt, Ontario) and 43-Roland Girard and followed by one NM+ 7.5 and three at NM 7. All cards are actually PSA chart-toppers with only one other similar card joining these 59 on the PSA Population Report! The breakdown of the rest is as follows: Six sit in holders with EX-MT+ 6.5 labels, (11) are at EX-MT 6, one at EX+ 5.5 and 17 are slabbed EX 5, including the last card, that of Port-Alfred coach Maurice Courteau. Completing are a pair of VG-EX+ 4.5s, (10) at VG-EX 4 including card #1 of Jonquiere goalie Eddy Daoust, four at VG 3 including one with a (MC) qualifier and finally one at Good 2 due to a scotch tape stain on the otherwise blank back. There are no notable big names in the set, but it will provide the new owner with hobby bragging rights not soon to be relinquished, if ever! Please note that this one-of-a-kind collection may be subject to a silent reserve.
