Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Depicting one of the stars of the pre-NHL era and in appealing PSA EX 5 form is this C57 card of Tommy Dunderdale. After his lone year with Quebec in 1910-11, the high-scoring centre went west to join the Patricks when the PCHA was formed, starring with Victoria and Portland for 12 years and scoring more goals in the PCHA than any other player. In 1974 Dunderdale, posthumously, became the first Australian-born player, (his family moved to Canada when he was 16), to be elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. This example of card #5 is in a third place tie with one other EX 5 on the PSA Population Report, with just a 5.5 and a 6 edging them.
