Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Canadians have golden memories of the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. Offered is a great pair of Team Canada 2002 Olympic jackets by Roots, including a special black and gold number celebrating both the men’s and women’s Olympic gold medal wins. The stretchy fabric zipper-front jacket displays a heat-screened gold maple leaf crest on the back and a smaller version on the left breast on this jacket that is similar in look to the leather jacket that was produced by Roots honouring the double golds in Olympic hockey. Both jackets are tagged size medium, with the black one displaying an 80 percent cotton / 20 percent polyester blend on the “Made in Canada” flag tag. The screened crest on the back exhibits light cracking. Also included is a gorgeous dark red blended wool Team Canada ’02 bomber jacket which shows some wear on the red leather bands along the sleeves. Flag tag indicates that the jacket’s outer shell is a 75 percent wool / 20 percent nylon / 5 percent other fiber blend.
