Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Gordie “Mr. Hockey” Howe, Bobby “The Golden Jet” Hull and the late Maurice “Rocket” Richard have all signed in pencil along with artist Walter Burden in pencil on a “Saturday Morning” limited edition lithograph, one of four outdoor hockey scenes offered here. The 17 3/4" x 14” print signed by Richard, Howe and Hull is numbered “153/700” and features a scene with kids wearing Canadiens and Maple Leafs colors going at it on the ice. The bottom margin of the print has a few creases that do not affect the signatures and do not diminish the lithograph’s display. Johnny Bower and Jean Beliveau have both signed along with Burden on a “Saturday’s Heros” limited edition print. This one measures 16x19 and displays a “203/1998” limited edition notation in the bottom left margin. It has a couple of creases in the upper right corner that do not diminish its display. Habs greats Yvan Cournoyer and Guy Lafleur have signed in pencil on a 9 1/2" x 8” print of “Saturday Morning”, and Beliveau and Hull have signed in pencil on a 7 1/2" x 8 1/4" print titled “Practice Makes Perfect”. Both of the smaller prints have light folds in the bottom right corner that do not diminish their display.
