Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Charlie Huddy’s Sher-Wood game-used stick is signed by 13 members of the 1992-93 Los Angeles Kings, including Wayne Gretzky. The Great One’s black marker autograph sits on the black “W” in “Sher-Wood” on the front of the shaft. Fellow HOFers Luc Robitaille and Paul Coffey and all-star defenseman Rob Blake are among the other black marker autographs on the shaft from the first Kings team to ever reach the Stanley Cup final. Others who have signed include Huddy, Granato, Hrudey, McSorley, Rychel, Millen, Whyte, Chapdelaine, and Loach, who only played for the Kings in 1992-93. Some of the black marker autographs were placed over black backgrounds along the shaft though they are clearly legible. Charlie’s original tape jobs remain on the knob and blade of this gamer with “Huddy 22” stamped on the shaft. The bottom of the knob’s tape job has a loose strand and the tape job on the blade has worn through on the bottom edge, which displays a crack.
