Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Hall of Fame centre Gilbert Perreault’s 1971-72 Buffalo Sabres game-issued stick is signed by 16 members of the team, including fellow HOFer Punch Imlach. “G Perreault” and his retired number “11” are stamped on the shaft of his vintage Victoriaville Pro with a pair of bands in Sabres blue and yellow. Perreault signed at the top of the shaft and the late Rick Martin’s autograph is from his rookie season when he scored 44 goals and finished runner-up to Ken Dryden in Calder Trophy voting. Other black marker autographs include Roger Crozier, Dave Dryden, Danny Lawson, Phil Goyette, Steve Atkinson, Chris Evans, Jim Watson, Doug Barrie, Ron Anderson, Ray McKay, Kevin O’Shea, Larry Keenan and Rod Zaine, who played 24 games for the Sabres in his only season in Buffalo. The autographs are nice and bold. Imlach’s signature, fourth above the upper band of coloured tape, has a small smudge in the middle to note and there is a small nail hole through the middle of the shaft.
