Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
The late Father David Bauer, who put together Canada's first national team in the early-1960s, signed the back of the 5 3/8" x 6 7/8" postcard along with Gary Dineen, Frank Huck, Ted Hargreaves, Morris Mott, Billy MacMillan and two others. Bauer was the team manager at the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Games where Canada won bronze. The autographs are nice, clean and bold. The upper left corner area has a 2" crease with a shorter one showing on the lower right corner area. The postcard also exhibits minor edge wear, but otherwise remains in nice condition. Father David Bauer was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1989, one year after passing away.
