Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Fantastic lot of four signed Montreal Canadiens frames features three Maurice Richard autographs and two each from Jean Beliveau and Guy Lafleur. The Habs' holy trinity has each signed in gold paint pen on an 8x10 shot of them hoisting the Stanley Cup together. The Rocket signed in gold paint pen on a magnificent limited-edition framed 16x20 photo of the Montreal Forum closing ceremony. Maurice and Jean signed their hockey cards in a framed display featuring Bouchard, Cournoyer and Henri Richard signed cards. Lafleur and Steve Shutt signed a glorious 16x20 framed photo. More details and info on the 9 signed Habs pucks below. The Rocket, le Gros Bill and the Flower each placed superb gold paint signatures with their respective retired jersey numbers on an 8x10 shot of themselves in uniform hoisting the Stanley Cup. Beautifully displayed in a blue matte with a recessed inner red matte that shows as backing for a “231 of 500” Canadiens limited-edition medallion on the lower left of the frame which measures a shade over 16x16 overall and comes with a COA affixed to the reverse;
Maurice’s shaky penmanship in his gold paint pen autograph on the limited-edition Forum closing ceremony 16x20 photo is explained by the “Dec 9 99” date notation. Photographer Ron Ouellette placed his initials in gold paint pen on this spectacular signed print which is magnificently displayed in burgundy and gold matte in a beautiful 20x24 frame;
The Rocket, Big Jean, the Pocket Rocket, Butch and the Roadrunner all signed in blue marker on their respective hockey cards displayed in a framed montage that measures just under 19x19 overall. The Richard brothers, Beliveau and Cournoyer signed modern Parkie re-issues and Bouchard signed his Ultimate Trading Card pose in a Habs turn-back-the-clock jersey. A Canadiens All Century Team panoramic montage is displayed in the centre of the frame along with Habs jerseys pin and a plaque at the bottom. A COA is affixed to the back of the frame;
Lafleur and Shutt have both placed big blue marker autographs on a huge goal celebration modern print of the Habs’ dynamic duo which has Channel Sports and NHL holograms and is displayed with a plaque and a pair of CH pins in a 28x24 wood frame;
Six Canadiens “100 Seasons” pucks signed in silver paint pen include Yvan Cournoyer, Yvon Lambert, Andrei Markov, Andrei Kostitsyn, and two others, all with Channel Sports hologram stickers, as does a signed Markov Canadiens puck. Guy Carbonneau and Francis Bouillon have signed Canadiens pucks with AL hologram stickers.
