Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
The Medicine Hat Tigers captured the team's first-ever Memorial Cup title as Canadian major junior champs with a 6-2 win over the host Oshawa Generals on May 15, 1987 and team members, including a young Trevor Linden and other future NHLers, later received special keepsakes like this. Stylish ring does not have any markings on the interior of the size 9-1/2 band, with nine small stones incorporated into the "T" of Tigers on the face. A likeness of the Memorial Cup is on one shank, along with "1987" while Tigers and WHL logos appear on the other. This particular ring was never awarded and exhibits moderate wear with small scrapes, dents and scratches, more visible upon magnification.
