Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

The final regular season game of the Edmonton Oilers' 1985-86 season was a monster for Paul Coffey! He scored his 47th and 48th goals of the year, surpassing the previous record for defencemen held by the great Bobby Orr. Let's turn the clock back a few months to the 1986 NHL All-Star extravaganza held in Hartford, Connecticut when Coffey wore this striking orange uniform as a member of the Campbell Conference roster. The jersey is tagged in the collar by Cosby of New York with the size "50" marked in ballpoint. The heavy CCM knit displays drop-shadow "Campbell" cascading down the front with Coffey's surname sewn onto the back and his number "7" below and again on each arm. Eighteen white tackle twill stars decorate the sleeves and waistline and a pair of NHL shields can be found up on each shoulder. Light but obvious wear, as is to be expected, includes a couple of small stick marks and a material pull down on the lower front. Originally from the Rick "The Stick" Elaschuk collection with his signed letter of provenance.
