Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Rare model of a Wayne Gretzky Easton gamer was only used by the Great One on a try-out basis during the 1993 NHL All-Star weekend in Montreal. Four high-res photos will be included of Gretz during the ASG at the old Montreal Forum using the exact same type of Easton T-Flex 100 model offered. Originally obtained from a Forum employee, this unique style of Gretzky gamer with his black foam gripper on the knob has Wayne's big and bold black marker autograph with a dedication to the employee that covers the now-bare blade. "Gretzky" is stamped on the Easton wood blade insert with a distinctive blue-paint toe which had its tape job removed. To note is a 3-inch crack on the back of the bottom of the aluminum shaft. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA. “Tapered Tip Aluminum, Stiff Flex 100 lb/in Stiffness Rating” is factory printed on the shaft.
