Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Big, Bad Bruins early-1970s game-used sticks feature superstar scorer Phil Esposito and his Team Canada 1972 teammate, Wayne Cashman. Great pair of solid, crack-free Northland Custom Pro gamers with nice game wear and yellow, white and black Bruins bands low on their shafts date from the era of Cup wins in 1970 and 1972, including Espo's record-smashing 1970-71 season. Phil's retired number "7" is stamped in red twice high on the shaft below his distinctive white tape job on the knob. His faded red marker autograph sits on the back of the shaft and "Esposito" is stamped on the shaft level with "Northland Custom Pro". The lethal scorer's black tape job remains on the blade. "Cashman" is stamped on his game-used stick, which also retains its original tape jobs on the knob and blade. Each stick has a nail hole through the middle of the shaft.
