Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Hall of Fame defenceman Raymond Bourque was always right at home at the NHL All-Star Game. The Bruins' longtime captain was the epitome of an All-Star, having been named to the league's end-of-season teams 19 times, including 13 nominations as a member of the First Team. And he was a perennial selection for the league's midseason All-Star game. Ray's 1991 Wales Conference game-worn captain's jersey from the midseason classic at the old Chicago Stadium displays the C on the left breast and the Black Hawks' 42nd All-Star Game patch on the right shoulder. Black beauty has CCM and NHL logos embroidered on the rear tail and Maska flag tag in the neck with size "52" written in ballpoint. "3" is written in black marker on the fight strap. Obviously limited game wear shows in small spot, possibly dried blood, on the right sleeve and another similar stain above the star patch on the left shoulder. This example was obtained by our consignor directly from a member of the Bourque family and will come with a detailed letter outlining the provenance.
