Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Legendary Bruins manager Art Ross signed this 1931 letter to left winger Ronald "Peaches" Lyon. The HOFer's big, bold original black fountain pen ink signature fills a good part of the bottom of this typed letter dated November 27 on Bruins letterhead. Fantastic Ross signature on this correspondence, which informs Peaches that "your services are no longer required by this organization, and you are now a free agent." Ouch! This Art Ross signed letter has two horizontal fold creases, one in the middle and another at the top, and two vertical folds. There are a series of staple holes along the top, and notes on the upper part of the back of the letter that do not touch or affect the signature on the front.
