This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Several men who helped the Chicago Black Hawks claim hockey's ultimate prize in the 1930s ('33-34, '37-38) are featured here, with legendary Chuck Gardiner joined by "sub-goalie" Alex Wood in approximately 5" by 7" images that were once an 8" by 10". Also from 1930-31 are 8 by 10s of Wentworth, Dukowski and Graham, one on thick paper stock of Gottselig and seven group shots (pinholes at the corners) featuring March, Romnes, Abel, Gottselig, Somers, Bostrom and others. A superb (trimmed) 7" by 9" of Gardiner accepting the Vezina Trophy from Frank Calder, two of Chicago Stadium, three similar of Taffy Abel and one of Vic Ripley are '31-32 photos. Other miscellaneous years and sizes include photos of Karakas, Seibert, Trudel, March (2), McFadyen, Wiebe (2) and Dahlstrom. Terrific images!
