Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Tim Horton signed both of the 1960s Toronto Maple Leafs team-signed sticks offered here, including a stick signed by fellow HOFer Terry Sawchuk and the rest of the 1965-66 Leafs. The Sawchuk autograph low on the shaft is a really nice ballpoint example. Horton's ballpoint signature further up the shaft is lightly faded but very clearly legible. A total of nine HOFers are among the 16 who signed that stick, including Mahovlich, Pronovost, Kelly, Bower, Armstrong, Stanley and Pulford, with varying shades of ballpoint displayed. The stick has a couple of mounting holes drilled through either end of the shaft. Another stick is autographed by 10 members of the 1968-69 Leafs, with four HOFers included, namely Horton, Pronovost, Keon and Ullman. A very nice example of Horton's signature is on display among the 10 strong ballpoint autographs here. The 1965-65 Maple Leafs team-signed stick is autographed by Pulford, Sawchuk, Naylor, Shack, Ellis, Baun, Hillman, Pronovost, Kelly, Selby, Horton, Mahovlich, Kurtenbach, Bower, Armstrong, and Stanley in ascending order along the shaft. Wraps of white hockey tape partially cover “Toronto Maple Leafs, 1965-1966” written on the blade in black marker.
The 1968-69 Maple Leafs team-signed stick is autographed by Quinn, Horton, Glennie, Pronovost, Keon, Oliver, Sutherland, Ellis, Ullman, and Walton in ascending order along the shaft.
