Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
A great piece to conjure up golden memories of the Toronto Maple Leafs' last Stanley Cup dynasty is this Johnny Bower game-used goalie stick dating from the late-1950s/early-1960s. "Bower" and his team-honoured number "1" are stamped on the upper shaft, with Johnny's surname partially covered by his original tape job on the knob, featuring white wrapped over black. The HOF goalie's tape work also remains on the paddle and on the blade of this CCM Custom Pro, including a great puck gouge in the longest of the three wraps in the middle of the paddle. "Browns Sports" is stamped on the front of the shaft with its Yonge Street address. Solid and crack-free beauty displays really nice game wear, including puck marks on the paddle and blade and blue paint transfer low on the shaft.
