Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Frank Mahovlich, the late Tim Horton and Conn Smythe winner Dave Keon are among the 16 members of the 1966-67 Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs who signed Ron Ellis' game-used stick. Ron's original tape jobs remain on the knob and blade of this CCM Custom Pro with "Ellis" stamped on the front of the shaft. There is a variety of autographs, from Mahovlich's crisp ballpoint signature high on the shaft and a Johnny Bower black marker autograph above it, to a faded but legible Horton signature towards the middle in light black marker. Red Kelly, George Armstrong, and Marcel Pronovost make it a total of 7 HOFers who signed. Marks on the heel show game wear and the blade has some cracks on this otherwise solid and historic gamer. Moving up the shaft from the heel to the knob the stick is signed in order by Baun, followed by an unidentified autograph, Keon, John Brenneman, Horton, Armstrong, Larry Jeffrey, Kelly, Larry Hillman, Ellis, Pronovost, Jim Pappin, Mahovlich, trainer Tom Naylor, Brian Conacher, and Bower;
The blade was taped more than once back in the day, as evidenced by a small chip on the top edge underneath the tape.
