This amazingly-preserved Ted Kennedy mid-1940s Toronto Maple Leafs wool jersey comes from the personal collection of the King Clancy. A flabbergasting find, this beauty has been maintained in sensational condition by the Clancy family for some 65 years! Teeder's legendary honored number "9" sits on the back in vibrant blue thick felt, sewn-on around the inner and outer edges along with an old-school snaking stitch through the middle. Unbelievable! The original Maple Leafs crest on the front is another magnificent highlight. The team name is spelled out in individual white felt letters sewn onto the blue felt maple leaf crest, which is detailed with white thread stitching for the outline and leaf veins. Nearly pristine, this Maple Leafs crest is positively stunning. The blue of the immaculate wool sleeve cuffs and crew-neck collar is positively eye-popping, as are the two colored bands around the tail and sleeves. There is no evidence of any noticeable game wear here. Among the small holes that do not diminish this wondrous Kennedy Maple Leafs wool sweater's display are a couple on the front tail, a half dozen or so on the back, and the largest one on the back of the right sleeve. There is a small spot stain on the back right, just to the left of the sleeve seam. Essentially like-new, this stupendous Ted Kennedy mid-1940s Maple Leafs wool sweater comes with a letter of authenticity from the Clancy family.
