Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Dominik Hasek and Mike Vernon each got the opportunity to hoist the Stanley Cup with the Red Wings. Offered here is a pair of Hasek and Vernon game-used goalie sticks dating from the all-stars' respective tenures in the Motor City. The Dominator's Louisville TPS gamer with "Hasek" stamped on the shaft dates from the early-2000s and retains Hasek's distinctive tape job on the knob. His white tape job is also intact on the blade and bottom of the paddle, which has a crack on the top edge just above the heel. Vernon signed in blue marker at the top of the paddle of his Hespeler gamer from the mid-1990s. Hasek’s game-used stick displays plenty of nice game wear with black marks all over the tape job on the blade and paddle and red goalpost paint transfer
“M. Vernon” is stamped on the shaft. Mike’s white tape knob and black tape job on the blade remain intact. The back of the shaft displays red goalpost paint transfer.
