A parade of 18 skating members of the 1964-65 Detroit Red Wings marches down the length of Gordie Howe's game-used Northland Pro stick from that same year. Stamped "Howe" and "Lie No. &" up on the shaft, the black marker "9" points to the stick's famous handler. The distinctive vintage black "Bulldog" taped knob at the handle matches the tape job down on the blade. "Olympic Sporting Goods, Detroit, Michigan" appears stamped on both sides of the shaft and the stick sports a single black wrap of thin accent tape lower down. Those who have signed along one side include Howe, Pronovost, Delvecchio, Lindsay and many more. The signature of goalie Carl Wetzel, who only played in two games for the Wings that year, helps to date the twig. Almost all of the autographs are bold and black, but a few are faded. An attractive stick, showing good game use, a very slight shaft crack (does not run right through) and some insignificant chipping near the bottom of the blade.
