HOF left winger Steve Shutt signed his Montreal Canadiens MegaStars game-worn jersey from the 2003 Heritage Classic in Edmonton. Steve wore this white Habs gamer, an NHL Vintage Hockey retro jersey, during the first half of the MegaStars Game. The Canadiens Old Timers fell 2-0 to Wayne Gretzky and the Oilers Alumni before a crowd of 57,167 at Commonwealth Stadium prior to the NHL's first regular season outdoor game. Steve signed the top of the left number on the back of this historic gamer, which has a size 56 flag tag in the neck. MeiGray registry patch sewn inside the rear tail corresponds to the LOA that accompanies this signed game-worn jersey. MeiGray LOA states that this game-worn jersey worn by Steve Shutt is from the team set of 21 jerseys worn by the Canadiens Old Timers in the first half of the MegaStars Game.
Obviously light game wear shows in black mark on the back of the right sleeve. There are stains on the front of the left cuff and a couple of spots on the left shoulder.
Steve has signed in black marker on the top of the left “2” of the red and blue double twill numbers sewn on the back.
