Awesome old school brown leather mid-1970s Cooper game-used goalie pads, blocker and trapper are attributed to Montreal Canadiens great Ken Dryden. These battle-scarred tools of the trade were gifted by the HOF goalie to his next-door neighbor back in the day. Both goalie gloves, the trapper and the GM12 blocker, are the correct type of Cooper models used by in the mid-1970s. Ken also wore similar Cooper pads during that era. Loads and loads of wear so we'll provide more info on the website description. Comes with an LOA from the consignor, who bought these three items from Dryden's neighbor. Outer layer of white felt padding between the straps on the back of the pads displays light reddish areas and a number of small reddish fabric balls;
Outer edge and top of left pad have three big beige leather-type repair patches sewn on, along with a smaller dark brown leather-type patch on the front outside egde padding at the knee;
The right pad has one beige leather-type patch on the bottom part of the outside edge.
The top layer of material inside the front of the brown leather blocker has dried up and broken into pieces, which remain visible inside through the rows of round holes along with the hard white plastic shell,
The black thread outline is all that remains of the Cooper tagging on the outside of the brown leather thumb of the blocker’s glove on the back;
The palm and fingers of the blocker’s glove have wear holes and the bottom left edge of the leather cover has worn through and torn;
There is the outline of a band of removed tape around the bottom of the blocker that is particularly appearent on the back side;
Well-worn Cooper label on the back of the trapper glove is torn and missing the upper right section;
Bottom edge of the cheater cuff towards the glove is worn through and frayed, exposing the inner layers including the hard white plastic insert;
