Hockey broadcasting legend Rene Lecavalier was awarded these Ordre National du Quebec knight's insignia medals in 1987. Offered in its original "Ordre National du Quebec" presentation box, the two medals, one full-size insignia that measures 1 5/8" in diameter, the other, much smaller, miniature insignia, are both stamped "STG" on the back for Sterling along with "00030" on both, with "Honneur au peuple du Quebec" stamped on the larger medal. Both have blue and white ribbons as does the bar, which has a gold-coloured Fleur de Lys in the middle. A Fleur-de-Lys lapel pin is also included. Rene is featured in a pair of laminated photo plaques included in this unique and distinguished lot. Rene is pictured on a 4x7 photo displayed on a laminated 17x10 plaque for his 1993 induction as a builder into the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame;
Rene and fellow broadcasting legend Danny Gallivan are pictured presenting the Molson Cup to Guy Lafleur in a laminated 8x10 photo displayed on a 10 1/2" x 13” wood plaque.
