A wonderful array of special autographed cards along with similar insert jersey cards, all featuring the men who wrote international hockey history in 1972, is up for grabs here. Signed cards from ITG's 2006-07 International Ice set total 17 with the Esposito and Mahovlich brothers, Henderson, Cournoyer, Clarke, Tretiak and Yakushev all present and joined by four dozen jersey/memorabilia cards, including a dozen dual swatch jobs and starring the same stars, along with Dionne, Perreault, Kharlamov and others. From Upper Deck's 2004 Legendary Signature issue comes a 20-card Summit Superstars autographed set featuring Tony "O" ($500) and brother Phil ($300) carrying big book value. More details of this dazzling stash, which includes a '72-73 OPC Team Canada insert set, are on our website. Other biggies in the Summit Superstars autographed set are Frank Mahovlich ($200), Clarke and Perreault ($150 each) and Mikita ($125). Cards from Future Trends’ set commemorating the 1976 Canada Cup include a blank-backed affair signed in gold ink by Bobby Orr, with others autographed by Tretiak (2), Yakushev, Maltsev and Vasiliev. Future Trends cards (21) recalling the ’72 Summit Series are signed by Pierre Trudeau, Alan Eagleson, Tretiak, P. Esposito (3), Goldsworthy (2), Bergman (2), Yakushev, Maltsev and others. Not to be overlooked is a complete 28-card set of 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Team Canada inserts, with most appearing crease-free and averaging EX. Other miscellaneous cards, including two autographed Tretiak inserts and four cards signed by Henderson, complete this wondrous jackpot.
