Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Memorabilia from the Canada-Russia Series games played in Moscow is always intriguing, with this ensemble surely to excite, given the presence of a full, not torn ticket to the historic Game 8 finale which saw Paul Henderson complete his heroic game-winning goal "trifecta!" Number 19 had scored the winner in games six and seven and then incredibly beat Vladislav Tretiak again late in game eight to provide Canada with its heart-stopping series triumph. Multiple light creases in the thin paper stubs from September 22 and 26 and full ticket from the 28th are to note, along with folds in the four-page program produced for the Moscow games. Also tossed in is an encouraging "Go Canada" (VG) postcard which also spurs memories for Canadian hockey fans of a certain age.
