Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/12/2012
Memories of the Saskatchewan Roughriders' first Grey Cup championship in 1966 come flowing back when we see this 2009 retro jersey worn by wide receiver Andy Fantuz. Fantuz, who won the 2007 CFL Most Outstanding Canadian in the Grey Cup and 2010 CFL Most Outstanding Canadian awards, was also the CIS Rookie of the Year in 2003. The Roughriders wore these simple throwbacks with no names on the back for both of their regular season games against Montreal in 2009. A red maple leaf is featured in the embroidered "CFL 2009 Retro 1960's" logo sewn on the front of the green v-neck collar. "09-46" season and size tagging in the back of the neck is sewn below the reverse of the Reebok logo. Scotiabank and Rona sponsor patches are sewn on opposite breasts and the number 83 is sewn-on in green twill on the front and back, with white twill numerals on both sleeves. Light game wear shows in a pair of smaller marks on the left shoulder. Comes with a Roughriders certificate of authenticity.
