Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis are among the legendary boxers represented in this fascinating collection of 42 on-site tickets. A ringside ticket for the 1927 Tunney-Dempsey heavyweight title bout at Chicago's Soldier Field is featured along with Louis' 1950 bout against Ezzard Charles at Yankee Stadium, and three tickets, including two ringside, for Ali's 1975 bout in Kuala Lumpur against Bugner. Ali is featured on 7 more tickets from bouts at Madison Square Garden as well as in Tokyo, Zurich and London and closed-circuit . The Tunney-Dempsey ticket, the only one that is not shrink-wrapped, is one of three tickets that are visible on both sides, the rest are all glued on a cardboard backing with the face displayed. Ding! Ding! Ding! The $40 ringside ticket for the Gene Tunney-Jack Dempsey heavyweight title bout on September 22, 1927 at Soldier Field has a small piece missing from the bottom left corner. The text denoting the ticket’s section and seat number and gate entrance is pale though still legible. There is loss to the outer printed layer in the corners on the reverse of this essentially whole and historic ringside ticket;
