Hoard of mementos saved by Gennadiy Avdeenko, a high jump specialist from Russia who competed and took Gold at the 1988 Olympics held in Seoul, Korea. The top items in the collection are: 1) link bar section from September 25th, 1988 for his 2.38m high jump, then was a new Olympic record which has been bettered ounce only at the 1996 Olympics (2.39m). 2) Gennadiy's 1988 Olympics participation medal in original box. 3) the "Tape of Honour of Olympic Champions", a red scarf-like sash, given by the Soviet Delegation. 4) his 1988 Team USSR training jacket with felt CCCP on the back. A number of addtional items round out the lot, which will come with a letter of authenticity from Gennadiy Avdeenko. Completing the lot are a dozen photos from 1988 Olympics including a number which are autographed, a diploma given by USSR for 1988 Olympics, a Seoul stadium miniature, Seoul souvenir keychain and a Seoul athletics final results book.
