Bruins starter and Hall-of-Fame netminder Cecil Tiny Thompson poses here for a wonderful photograph as he chats with two members of baseball's Boston Red Sox. The vintage 7 x 11 photo has Tiny in his leather Boston Bruins team jacket with glove in hand and a facsimile signature runs across his waist. The marvelous image is in great condition but has a very faint pink stamp to one side, perhaps from the photo house. Thompson was the first goaltender to catch the puck as a method of making a save. A competent puckhandler, he was also the first goalie in the NHL to record an assist by passing the puck with his stick to a fellow player. Over his NHL career, Thompson recorded 81 shutouts, which is the sixth-highest of any goaltender.
