Originally obtained from the personal collection of Elmer Lach, this silver-plated engraved serving tray with two handles was presented to the Hall of Fame center during a 1952 ceremony in his honor at the Montreal Forum. "To Elmer Lach, In Appreciation of Your Great Sportsmanship With the Canadian Hockey Club, From the Minor Officials of Les Canadiens, March 8th, 1952" is engraved in the middle of the 14 1/4" x 25" tray along with the names of 9 individuals who presented the gift to Lach. Handles on each end of the tray extend its length to 30" overall. The tray saw some use as evidenced by surface scratches will the raised details on the outer edge exhibit tarnish. A suberb piece from the Montreal Canadiens' 1952 night honoring Elmer Lach, who on December 4, 2009 finally saw his jersey #16 belatedly raised to the rafters of the Bell Centre on the occasion of the franchise's 100th anniversary.
