Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/12/2012
Seldom offered autograph here was penned by Hall of Fame "builder" Claude Robinson, first a player and then an executive with the Winnipeg Victorias, winners of both the Allan Cup and Stanley Cup (1901) while Robinson was part of the organization. The first secretary of the CAHA and manager of Canada's hockey team at the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid, Robinson was enshrined in 1947 and died in Vancouver in 1976. A personalized poem precedes his bold blue ballpoint signature on a page (approx. 4" x 6") from an autograph book which includes a picture of Robinson. Four lines of writing penned by someone else are on the opposite side of the page. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included with this desirable find.
