Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Classic Czechoslovakian national team red knit jersey stirs memories for international hockey followers of the 1970s and was worn into battle by Josef Augusta. A forward, Augusta represented his country at the 1974 and '78 World Championships. Everything is sewn-on here including the lion crest, the snazzy tri-color drop-shadow numbers and the white and blue stripes. Tie-neck style sweater with knit neckline and collar indeed shows game use with a few black stick marks below the team crest and a 1-1/2" horizontal team repair to the right of it. Also mentionable are a similar but interior stitch job on the right sleeve and good interior pilling. A terrific example of a 1970's high-caliber international uniform.
