Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/12/2012
Rather exquisite hockey award here dates all the way back to 1909 and features the Bank of Montreal's coat of arms/logo, with crossed hockey sticks below. Without its original ribbon but with classy engraving on the back, which reads: "Montreal Bank Hockey Championship 1909," with the maker's "Caron Bros" name and "10K" also stamped on the reverse. Thought-provoking keepsake from a time when amateurs enthusiastically embraced our sport and professional hockey was still in its infancy has survived in impressive difficult-to-expect-nicer condition.
