From a Stanley Cup championship season, this miniature Prince of Wales Trophy is what New Jersey Devils team members earned for having edged the Ottawa Senators in seven games to capture the Wales Conference playoff title. New Jersey got by the Senators 3-2 right in Ottawa, after seeing the Sens rally from a 3-1 series deficit, and then beat the Ducks in seven games, Martin Brodeur posting a 3-0 shutout to help coach Pat Burns' Devils capture the franchise's third Cup title. Presented to Medical Trainer Bill Murray, with his name joining the trophy's name on a metal plaque and applied to one side of the 2-inch high wooden base. An engraved plate on the other side reads "NHL Champions - New Jersey Devils - 2002-03." Silver-plated memento stands 12-1/2" high, with one of three leaves atop the removable lid having broken off. It's in otherwise marvelous condition with a touch of tarnish on the blade of one of the four hockey sticks. An LOA will be included with this formidable keepsake.
