Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Fantastic broadside poster dates back to the 1925-26 National Hockey League season and pictures all seven of the league's franchises! The scarce piece, one we have never seen or offered before, was probably produced by the NHL and was most certainly printed in low numbers. Best is the inclusion of the inaugural season team pics of New York Americans and Pittsburgh Pirates along with the Stanley Cup Champions Montreal Maroons. With president Frank Calder portrayed at the centre, each team photo displays the pictures of the top office brass above or below and seven of the league's officials are also represented! Housed in a vintage wooden frame, the piece measures out to a whopping 27 x 21 inches. Condition is very good, with some foxing, water staining along the right edge and a six-inch strip of ancient tape repairing a tear running in from the opposite side (does not affect any photos).
