Enforcer Rob Ray wore the alternate captain's A on the left breast of this 2000-01 game-worn jersey which comes with a Sabres/MeiGray COA. A "Season 2000/2001 Jersey" team patch is sewn inside the rear hem and the size 56 flag tag remains in the back of the neck. The front seam of the collar was team-customized and more equipment staff alterations inside feature a loop strap sewn on the bottom of the back of the crest in front and a plastic clasp mechanism sewn onto the fight strap, all designed to keep Rob's jersey firmly in place once the gloves were dropped. Also included are Rob's battle-weary game-used shoulder pads which come with an LOA. Game wear on the jersey shows in unrepaired cut holes on the left sleeve, black slash marks above Rob’s #32 on the right sleeve and a small dried bloodstain on the seam below it, and black marks on the front tail.
The Milt Byron LOA that accompanies Ray’s game-used shoulder pads indicates they were originally used by Gilbert Perreault. The HOF center’s retired number “11” is written in faded black marker on the inside padding.
