The late Bob Probert signed his 1988-89 Red Wings game-worn jersey from a troubled season. Bob's 3,300 PIMs rank fifth on the all-time list. One of the NHL's greatest fighters, Proby was limited to 25 games in 1988-89 due to a number of suspensions, culminating with his March 1989 arrest for attempting to smuggle cocaine across the U.S.-Canada border. Bob's black marker autograph sits at the bottom of the red twill "2" on the back of the jersey. Washed out Maska flag tag remains in the back of the neck; this gamer measures out to roughly a size 54. "Eastside" logo is screened on the left rear hem and the red CCM logo is embroidered on the right. Collar is torn at the front seam. Among other game use is a dried bloodstain on the left front tail, red paint transfer on the right front near the arm, a black mark on the left front near the arm, and nicks on the sleeves. The bottom right corner of the signed "2" on the back is missing its red thread stitching where it was inadvertently sewn over the fight strap inside the jersey that subsequently saw plenty of use.
