Alex Tanguay improved to a new personal best of 79 points in 2003-04, good enough for ninth place in league scoring, while his 54 assists tied him for fourth in the NHL. That year the league named him to the Western Conference team at the 2004 All-Star Game held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Tanguay's forest green airknit uniform of the Western Conference squad was worn during the second period, according to MeiGray's population report, and was part of the set later retained by the NHLPA. No real game wear, as we have come to expect from these one-period jerseys, but Tanguay has autographed the back number "18" in black marker. Tagged in the collar by CCM in size 58 with a tie-neck and a shoulder patch proclaiming that Minnesota hosted the event. The Colorado Avalanche team crest rests on the left shoulder and an NHL shield patch is there on the upper chest. The NHLPA logo sits on the outer tail and the inventory label of the NHL/MeiGray Game Worn Jersey Program, matching the number on their population report, can be found sewn inside the rear hem.
