Gilles Gilbert made over 400 appearances in an NHL career that spanned 14 seasons. He was best remembered as the first stringer on the powerful Boston Bruins during the mid-1970s when Gerry Cheevers played in the WHA. Selected to the First All-Star Team for the first half of the season by the NHL Writers' Association, goaltender Gilles Gilbert donned this fabulous orange, black and white durene in the mid-season classic in Chicago in 1974. Gilbert and Dave Dryden shared netminding duties for the East, taking the win with a score of 5-4 over the Western Division. Classic NHL All Star gamer from the Seventies is tagged in the collar by Gerry Cosby in size 50. Everything is sewn-on including "Gilbert" in individual letters above Gilles' number "1" on the back. A couple of small black marks on the lower front and a tiny hole near the letters forming the name are of note, otherwise the jersey is in impeccable condition. The lot also includes a newer 8x10 team photo of the Eastern Division All Stars from 1973-74.
