Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

A tremendous find and wonderful opportunity for WHA and game-worn jersey enthusiasts is this first year Ottawa Nationals home white sweater worn by Ron Climie. Climie, a winger out of Hamilton, saw 249 regular season games in the World Hockey Association but never did make it up to the big league. He turned in a 31-point effort over 31 games in 1972-73, a very respectable performance by any standard. Gorgeous red, white and blue durene knit jersey has an old-style black, silver and gold Maska company tag in the collar and the original white lace string running through the neck eyelets. The somewhat crinkled and slightly-shrunken team crest and the numbers on the back and sleeves are in tackle twill and all sewn on. The stunted tackle twill name plate is all original. Light game use includes a faded blood stain at the centre of the right sleeve. This example has been preserved in fabulous condition, another fine piece of World Hockey Association history. Will come with a letter of authenticity.
