Here's a gorgeous, near-mint condition program from the night of April 16, 1961 at the Detroit Olympia, when the Chicago Black Hawks won their first Stanley Cup since 1938, and their last for the next 49 years! Also included is a rarely seen ticket stub in Vg/Ex condition (light glue residue on the back), with the final score of "Chicago 5 - Detroit Red Wings 1" written on the front. This victory by the Black Hawks marked the end of an era, as by eliminating the Canadiens in the Semi-Final round they ended Montreal's unprecedented streak of five straight Stanley Cups. Chicago, meanwhile, led by future Hall of Famers Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Glenn Hall and Pierre Pilote, would be a strong team for the next decade and beyond, but not win the Cup again until 2010.
