Historical Hockey Memorabilia Spring 2012

Offered here is a rather scarce program, from Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the New York Rangers and the Detroit Red Wings, played at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on April 13, 1950. That's right - Maple Leaf Gardens - as for the first time since 1920, a Stanley Cup Final game had to be played on neutral ice, due to a circus at Madison Square Garden in New York. Undeterred, the Rangers would win this game 4-1 on two third period goals by Edgar Laprade, and, despite the final four games being played at the Detroit Olympia, push the series to game seven before the Red Wings finally prevailed. This unique program is in nice Ex+ condition, and loaded with vintage ads and photos.
