The fifth NHL All-Star game, played October 9, 1951 at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens, saw a short-lived new format introduced, with two teams of All-Stars from all six teams playing each other for the first time. One team was led largely by players from Chicago, Boston and New York, while the other had mostly Montreal, Toronto and Detroit players. The result was a 2-2 tie, also an All-Star first, with Gordie Howe, Tod Sloan, Johnny Peirson and Ken Mosdell tallying the goals. The offered game program is complete, in very nice Ex/Nm condition, and loaded with player photos and vintage ads.
